CD Drive wont open

The external button on the CD/DVD drive no longer works.

I can only open it by My Computer > right click CD Drive > Eject

I'm running on Windows Vista. on an HP Pavillion dv6000 (laptop)

How can I get the button fixed?

how old is it and is it still under warranty?

Did you run the drive with XP before? Is it compatible with Vista? You may need to flash your drive.
