One chance left before region change is permanent

Hi there

really hope someone can help!



My dvd drive is set to region2 but i watched a couple of region1 dvd's on it but when it said last chance to change i stopped as i did not want to permanently change it to region1.



I have tried to play a region 2 dvd since then and it sounds like it is just spinning round in there and its not being recognised, i have also tried region1 but the same thing is happening, there is no warning box or anything coming up when i try and play a dvd just nothing!! I tried a region 0 dvd and that worked ok.



when i go into the setting it says i have one chance left to change and 4 vendor chances left (whatever this means) i have tried changing ot but it wont let me, even though i am the computer admin.



I tried downloading some software css free but no joy with that either, i have contacted hp but they weren't helpfull at all.



please help!!

I have already tried css region free, how do i flash my drive? Not very good with computers?

tried to flash my drive, no use!!

I have bought css free, no joy either, i phoned comet support and they said even though it has one chance left it has locked....which i dont understand as it says i have one chance left and it wont play any kind of dvds now, wont even play games, they say it seems like a software problem, which i am not covered for



My css free window says:



Region code: 1

User changes left: 1

Vendor resets left: 4



and when i go into my win DVD setting its saying now that i have 4 chances left and that it is set to region 2!!

I dont have a clue what is going on and i am really frustrated!!.......AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

why do they even have the limit to me it sound like a stupid idea.

Try downloading DVD Shrink 3.2

Open the dvd's And watch them in the programs inbuilt Viewer, This will work until you find a permanent fix for your Problem.
