Yay for massive storage, nay for price and currently there are not going to be ones you can burn yourself. That will hopefully be down the line.

Ok, I voted "What the hell is Blu-Ray", but reading from the posts I'm guessing it's some type of storage media. Perhaps a disc but bigger than your average 4.7GB DVD?

They have created blu ray discs that are up to 100gb worth of capacity, in others words if you took up a whole disc for 1 movie, thats some high quality, and lots of room to store code for games

I prefer HD-DVD instead, since the DVD's will be much cheaper and the drives won't be as expensive.

Thats true, but there wont be as many DVD's. Every single Hollywood studio except for Universal has promised to release in Blu-Ray format. As of now MGM, Fox, Columbia, and Disney have no promises to release in HD-DVD.

I want HD-DVD to win becuase I have an Xbox 360. I can buy the HD-DVD player adapter, which I doubt I will.
