HP Lightscribe


What do u guys think of the HP Lightscribe thing?

I go it free on my laptop...haven't used it. Actually not really sure why I would use it...but it was free so I'm not complaining.

well, sur eits great. instead of having plain 'Pictures' on a CD...you can have something nicer...but her eis what i heard negative about lightscribe.

-they take long - about 40 minutes i think

- you need special CD/DVD - so therefore, you need to buy more disks

-the CD/DVD for lightscribe are a bit more expensice...



but i think it's still quite cool

I believe the burner they give you (assuming it came pre-installed) is already compatible with Lightscribe. But yes you are responsible for the actual disk purchase. I just use a sharpie and write the title on the CD, doesn't bother me

Takes way too long to inscribe a picture. Simple words might be ok, but a sharpie tends to do it for me.

i bought an hp just because of lightscribe, i wish i never did!
