Two DVD drives when I only have one?

It's a laptop, and I have one DVD/RW drive. I think it might have something to do with this game I got and it wanted me to "mount" it and I mounted it on my computer instead of burning and mounting on a disc. This is the only thing I can think of.

One says DVD-RAM Drive (D: ) and the other says
DVD Drive (E: )

I've uninstalled both of them, restarted, and they both come back. When I put a CD in, the D: loads it. But, under the device manager, I'm pretty sure the E: is labelled as the Panasonic drive (which I think I have) ANY IDEAS?

you have a program which enables you to have a virtual drive (it fools your computer into thinking you have another drive) e.g daemon tools, alcohol 120%.

what was the program you installed?

actually, i got power iso at first, then ended up getting daemon tools as well. so to answer you, i have both

the more i think about it, when i installed the game, it made it's own drive like C :, not an optical drive. So I freaked out and deleted the game and tat drive. So I'm back to normal on the C : hard drive issue. But somehow this DVD drive stuff is happening and It's messing with my Nero burning software.

well they both enable you to have virtual drives, nothing to worry about, they are both realy handy programs for mounting .iso etc. if you cant be bothered to burn them. But if you want to get rid of the drive just disable virtual drives on those programs or uninstall them alltogether.
