DVD burns slow


I know it's better to burn a back up movie slow but it take my system 45 min.

to burn at 8x using nero express 6. is there any thing I can do or is this normal.

that's not normal, it should take around 15 minutes or so, I'd try different media and a different burning program and see if those help

use CD-R they are faster though. It can not be rw.

I've tried then both but it didn't solve the problem.

Are you burning cd's or dvd's? My computer takes 45minutes to burn a dvd I have not seen any computers do much better.



Never seen a computer that could do it in 15 minutes

Thats about normal on a fast computer, its not the burning part that takes so long its the encoding. I can actually burn it in about 5 minutes but it takes about 40 to encode it!
