Dvd Burner problem

Hi



I have just got a external dvd burner for my laptop, it works fine. But everytime its plugged into the USB slot it come up in the system tray to safely remove hardware, I dont want to do that.

Any ideas why?

I think you need to read a bit more about that icon Have you even tried to use the burner?

Yeah i've used the burner a few times and it been fine. Wot should i read about the icon then?

problably it is just asking you just incase something like a firewall

The icon is there because it is plugged into a USB port and is letting you know to click the icon before unplugging the drive from it. Basically it is a safe measure to keep people from unplugging while a device is writing or reading.
