Not sure if this is in the right section, but I've been having problems with playing stuff using my Divx player.
The picture keeps skipping and jumping, and there is also alot of background hiss. The hiss is there through the speakers and earphones.
Has anyone else had this problem?
And do they have a solution?

Try a new Divx plugin or reinstall the current divx plugin/player. Try a different divx player. May be a computer problem idk.

reinstall divx player and see if that works.

I've uninstalled divx and downloaded and installed the latest version of divx, and have exactly the same problem.
Anyone know what else it could be?

Try a different player,ie Windows Media Player or VLC Player

Just tried windows media player, that was the same everything was out of sync. gonna give vlc a go.
Got a feeling it could be my laptop, but dont know what.
Could it be its not powerful enough?
I've got 768mb of ram
2.8 celeron processor

Vlc is better, but the sound is still slightly out of sync

if it is happening to other media players as well i suspect it is either your sound card or dound drivers etc.
