DVD drive wont work after burning a CD

Hello,

I have a problem with my dvd drive, I inset a dvd and nothign happens, i go into my computer and then double click the dvd and it opens an empty folder. I am using XP home and have a dvd/cd rw combi drive. I noticed this after my sister burned a music cd using windows own built in burner, its like the drive is no longer set to dvd just cd. I logged on the other day and it said "you have files wating to be burned to cd" these were files that had been burned earlier that day and from then I have noticed that problem.

Its is even listed as a cd drive now instead of a dvd. Whatever she did its like she has set it just to be a cd drive and there is no dvd fucntion anymore, it wont play or record them.

Can anyone tell me how to put this right?

Thanks

Try uninstalling the drive in device manger and reboot, it will reinstall the driver when it boots, mabe that will do it
