Making back-up?

I just bought Roller coaster tycoon 3 and wanted a back up cd just in case. I draged the info from the game cd onto a blank cd, but when I tried to play the game with the burned cd, it says please enter the rct3 cd. any way to get around that? I have also tried nero, but to no avial.

Any help would be great, Bob.

an alternative way is to get the no-cd crack for the game from www.gamecopyworld.com and replace it with the file in the game folder (where you installed it) or use a program called Alcohol 120% which makes exact backups of games that work perfectly (www.alcohol-soft.com)

Or you oculd just use something like gamedrive 9.0, It makes a virtualdrive which it stores the CD on so you enevr have to use the CD, then just keep the CD in the case so it'll never get scratched, since you'll never have to move it.

frequencies can be off by some mhz and still be picked up by some antennae... for instance, my friend payed his neighbor to use his wireless internet with a cantenna! lol that was a good time, soldering and all.

Ok, I must just be awful at this stuff. I'm trying to do the no-cd. So all it tells me to do is:
* Replace the original RCT3.EXE file with the one from the File Archive.
Ok so, I just have to go into my my rct3 folder, C-programfiles-atari-ect. And then replace the .exe file. Isn't the .exe file usually the main main game icon? I see no icon that has something like rct3.exe, so I though that one would be it. So I remove the exe file (or what I thought was it) and then replace it with the one I was given. I am obviously making a stupid mistake here, any help would be great.

Thanks a million, Bob.
