I am te proud possessor of an ancient Dell powerEdge 4100/200 server with dual Pentium Pro procs. It has a SCSI CD-ROM (12X IIRC) in it. The BIOS does not recognise the CDROM, nor does WinNT 4.0 Server. I have power to the drive b/c the tray opens and closes. What's wrong?
did you check your other connections? If they are good and bios isn't detecting it, it's probably time for a new drive

I checked my connections, I'll prob. get an IDE card and use a spare CDROM.
