MCD-24 CDROM & WIN '95 Problems - Please help ;-)

Hi

I recently bought a IBM 560z laptop which included a floppy & USB cd-rom drive. Unfortunatley the guy I bought it off formatted the HD and so I had to re-install windows '95 via floppy.

for the past few weeks I have been searching to get a driver sorted for the USB CD-ROM, to no avail and was hoping you guys can help.

Its Win'95 v1 and the CD-ROM has MCD-24 written on the back, but has no manufacturer name I have seen it for sale in Gearxs.com

I was wondering if there is such a thing as a generic USB Cd-rom driver for win'95 and whereabouts I can get it? Or is the only way to go win '98 via floppy & try from there...

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure about any generic driver, but it probably won't work with 98 either - 3rd party drivers are usually still required.

I can only sugest that you try running all posible updates available for you laptop, and if that doesn't work you could always send an email to IBM's support department...you never know they may have it lying around somewhere.

Heres a link to the IBM Driver download page for your 560z
