Burning a CD

I am having trouble using Window's Media Player to burn CD's. It will go through the whole burn process, spit the CD out and say that it cannot copy files onto disk or something along those lines - frustrating, if it isnt a RW there goes a CD.

When i put it in my stereo anywhere from 1/17 songs to 5/7 will have been copied. Anyone know what is going on and/or how to fix it?

did u download these songs u are trying to put on cd? if so, certain songs may not be recordable and depending on where they are in the burn process, this may be why either 17 or only 5 songs are burning, because after this song, the did stops burning.

i wouldn't recommend you using windows media player to burn it because i myself have never got it working either.. try something like nero.

yes, the songs are downloaded. I will try Nero.

How does them being downloaded affect wether they burn or not?

because a lot of times, downloaded songs can be corrupt or of poor quality and give u problems when u try to do things with them, like burn them.

Never got it to work... what? I have used WMP, MusicMatch Jukebox, Nero, HIMAT (audio CD and data CD)... they ALL WORK...

The main cause of errors are the cheap disks you are probably using... or burn them at a slower rate.
