cd types

wondering if there are blank cd's just for music, or is a blank cd a blank cd?

there are blank cds for music you can usually find them in places that sell cds like tower records or maybe circuit city. it will say MUSIC CD-R on the label.

do you need to use a cd r thats for music to record a wav file, or use cd's for music?

You can put anything on a blank cd for instance:programs, music, dvds, so on. But you can buy blank cds spacificly for music.

You can basically use a normal CD-R for making a music CD. However, it is advisable to do that at very low speeds in order ti make sure that it is readable by most CD players. I would, if available, use special CD-Rs made for music mentioned above if that CD is precious to you or very important. I have found that some of the first music CDs that I burned long time ago (On normal CD-Rs) have become unreadable. I think that the type of die is different on the music CD-Rs.

Just buy your CD's at Walmart you cant beat the prices! And they have just as good as a selection!

yeah, that worked greta. but my real player seems to lock up when its writing the directory? any suggestions?

dont use realplayer.. i dont recommend it.. ur better off using programs like nero or sonic. and as for the cds.. cds are cds.. burning wav? or certain types of files..that depends on the codec that the program you are using supports.. that might be why realplayer is locking up.
