CD/DVD Drive slow..... I think!!??

I have a Rosewill RB-321 and every time I try to start a game (FarCry, Battlefield 2, Counter Strike, etc.) It takes a unusual amount of time to load (sometimes it freezes). I already installed the driver for it.

Your drivers might be the problem. CD ROM's don't require ANY drivers at all. Everything you need is included with windows and will work. Try unloading your drivers and see if that works any better.

What channel (IDE) do you have your drive on and which do you have your hard drive on, do you have burst tranfer mode enabled in the BIOS.

long shot... but could look for a firmware update

Nothing is really helping. Any more suggestions (other than buying a new one)
