CD/DVD-RW Missing

Hey Guys,



I went into my computer and my DVD-RW Drive and CD-RW are gone, what happened? Can i fix this without formatting?

go to device manager and check that the cd and dvd drives dont have any exclamation marks against them or crosses. Also check the cabling, the IDE cable could have been pulled out or something. Do the drives actually work, do the trays open and shut, any lights on them???

also it not a good idea to share your root folder.

Have you changed settings / installed anything new. It may be that the drive are just hidden

Explorer and read out the NJoDrives values (if it is there)

Hum... I turned the comp off and unpluged the CD-RW, Then it found the DVD-RW, So i plugged the CD-RW back in and now there fine :/

that was probnably just the BIOs getting confused with itself, ah well its working now
