I have a movie which i wish to place on a DVD to watch on my DVD Player.
I have a Liteon DVD rewirter and DVD discs. When using Nero software it says i dont have enough space to copy the movie over too. the space required is 711MB the DVD holds 4.7GB?!?!? Whats up with that??????!?!!??!?!?!
Any Help please!!
what version of nero are you using? some versiosn only burn cd's. which would explain why it saying you cant burn 711MB

you prolly have nero 6 it comes with alot of dvd burners. if you do then when the smart suit comes up make sure that you changed the top part from cd to dvd then select data dvd or video dvd or what have you.
are you trying to turn a video clip into a dvd? because you may have to convert it to mpeg2 form and if you are trying to make it run in a dvd player you need a dvd authoring program, i dont think nero comes with one

okay so that includes a dvd authoring beta version rite?
i dont use it, i use sony DVD archetect but in mine when making a dvd it often tells me that I am over the limit for a dvd and you have to optimize the disc (compress lol) it will do it automatically, you might have to find something like that in yours.
another thing that might be it is you may not have eneugh hard drive space left, dvd authoring programs usually need to convert your video files before they are wrote to DVD so you may not have eneugh disk space (that would explain the insuficent space error you are recieving) how much space do you have free?

Nope havent done it...it says it set as CD???!!!..Look through all the menus..can find out how to change it.
