Does anyone know how to change the name of a DVD/ROM drive? I know how to change the letter assigned, but when I right click the drive, it doesnę° give me the option to rename like a normal hard drive.

Before I had the second DVD drive, I had a card reader hooked up and it was designated drive "E". Now that I have the DVD drive there, I'm stuck with FLASH PORT for a name under the "E" drive.

Im not sure, but have you tried to reinstall the drive?

It's because it considers it temporary

I figured it out. I had to go into the registry under H_KEY local machine... Thanks for your help.
