cd rom problem

I recently unistalled a program that i installed and when my cd rom ejected the cd after the unistallation of the program i won't close anymore. I checked the driver and nothing seems to be wrong. I tried inserting other cds but i would just eject after I insert the cd. it even opens the tray even if there is no cd in it. If there is anyone here who have encountered the same problem. I really need your help.

maby you just bt chance jammed the cd drive, also, do you happen to have a dell?

does the driver close when you turn your system off?
