Strange thing happening

Well, being the procrastinator that I am, I decided to wait until the day before i leave for LA to get my computer ready. When I put the other 2 CD drives in, I started the computer and it said "boot from CD. Please insert system disc" I did and it then proceeded to install windows XP again. Please help!

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying that after it was already working, you tried to turn and it wanted a CD? Please elaborate.

As bobo said you haven't really stated a problem. As bobo said i think it is just asking for you to reinstall Windows. Why not proceed with htis and see where you get? It may just be installing the applicable drivers although i think thats unlikely.

Alright. Here's what happened. I originally only had 1 CD drive as my secondary master, and a hard drive as the primary master. Then I hooked two other CD drives to both of the slave IDE channels. when I turned on the computer, the bios recoginized the CD drives, then after I exited the BIOS, it gave me the message "Boot from CD." Then, it said "Please Insert System Disc" I put in windows XP and it just started installing Windows XP again. The problem is, I can't boot up my computer with all of the CD drives hooked up. All it does is install Windows XP again.

Either let the computer sit there with the boot from cd message (it will go away) or change the boot order in the bios

Sweet. I just found out that the hotel that we're staying at has T1 access. I'll go into the BIOS and edit that later on.

Yeah surely it's just some annoying message. Try to set a different boot sequence as Praetor suggested. That could do the job.It seems very weird that the BIOS would ask for a boot CD.
