Trouble with buring DVD videos!!!

I have a Memorex DVD Burner, and i have Nero 6. I used to be able to burn DVD's, but now i cant. When i import a dvd to encode it, it encodes fine, but then it says "Buring at 11x" but it doesnt burn, it stays there at 100%, but it didnt do anything. I left it alone for 9 hours before and it still said "Starting burn at 11x" Can anyone help?

If you have the time/patience, why not do a restore? Make sure you backup your files of course (too bad you cant use the dvd burner). That will let you have a clean start. be careful of what software you load pertaining to your disc drives. i used to run nero until i got adaptec, and i had a lot of burning errors. i restored it all, now both programs work fine. -john

why the hell are you burning a dvd at speed 11x, no burner can burn a digital quality video at that speed. You should burn them as slow are your burner will allow. I always burn at 4x. And even at that speed it only takes 20 min, whats the bloody rush. Also do not multitask. Just leave it to burn quetly and slowly.

Actually, my DVD's max burn is 8x, but it says 11x, i always leave the computer alone while it burns the dvd. I also did a system restore (For another reason), and i havent tried it yet, but i hope it works. Thanks for the help

Can you try burning at 4x or less? That could work. Man and you could also first encode. Stop. Only then burn. What I mean do not do it in one go.
