Doesn't get any cheaper than using DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter (both free)

1.) Go to www.dvd-copy.us

2.) Download a free trial of DVD Copy Tools (14-Day Trial).

3.) Install it and run it.

4.) Select the DVD Drive that the DVD is in that you want to copy.

5.) Select the output (I highly recommend copying it to your hard drive first).

6.) Keep all the other settings as default (Unless you really want to change them), and click next.

7.) Select the subtitles and languages that you would like to be copied from the DVD and click next.

8.) Click the Burn/Copy button.

--This is where you need another software program--

The program I use is nero, but im sure other programs have it to, if you dont have one of these programs, go to www.nero.com and download the trial.

9.) Select Nero Recode from the list on the left.

10.) Select the folder of the DVD that was copied, and click import.

11.) Wait for it to analyze and then customize the options you want (Quality, subtitles, ect)

12.) Select the DVD Burner that you want to use, and click start/next.

13.) Now you have a DVD that can play in any DVD player that can read DVD+/-R's (All the one's i've tried them in worked)

--Hope that helped--

Yea get DVD Copy Tools for $99. Nero is a good program if you need it so I won't knock it.

Open Shrink

Open Disc

Click Backup

Change target destination to "Create ISO Image and burn with DVD Decrytper"

Click ok.

If Shrink cannot rip the movie, then rip w/ DVD Decrypter first then run it through Shrink

Oh yea ... did I mention they're both free?

And if you must spend money, invest in the combination of AnyDVD & CloneDVD2. for both you'll pay around $70, still cheaper.

spend a few hours at forums.afterdawn.com and you'll be an expert at dvd production... that is, if you want to be an expert.

i use dvd-xcopy which i believe has been banned in the states, but still available in other countries. you open it up, push copy, and its done.
