D Drive problems

My D drive doesn't read any CD's I put in to it.

When I double click on the D: drive it replies,

Please insert a disk into drive D:



My E: Drive works fine and I've been using that to process CD's but I need to copy a CD and I won't let me! Any suggestions? Thanks.

Make and model of the drive? Type of media?
