video card problem


I having a vid card problem..where my monitor displays some spots,can this be a hardware problem already?has anyone encountered/fixed this problem?

what video card and how old is it? from that pic, i don't really see any "spots"

well actually there is,its maybe because the resolution of the pic was too low,,but there is! its like a bunch of peppers some in neon green..

If the monitor was on a fixed image for a little while, it could just be image retention. Most monitors don't seem to suffer from it, from what I hear, but my old lcd does, it'll go away after just a couple hours.



But the picture is no help, and I don't quite understand the problem. It could be a couple stuck pixels, try rubbing them..

Yeah, You can see it in the SS, ruling out the monitor as the problem. As Dragon asked, how is the video card? When a card is dying, or malfunctioning it will create screen interference, similar to the spots in question.



You can attempt to reseat the card, making sure it isn't overheating, and cleaning out any dust in the heatsink and fan.. You should do this to the case fans and CPU HS/f as well.

as i figure out,the vid card was really the problem,coz now im using the built-in vid card on my mobo,what I am asking is if it can still be fixed?the vid card is about 2-3 years old
