Ok i somehow forgot to plug in the 6-pin connector but it still works normally... Anyone know if it is necessary to plug the 6pin connector in then?
Did you run any 3D applications with it? Graphics cards don't use that much power until they kick into 3D mode.

Not sure about that, but i heard giving a card less power then it needs can fry it. Best not mess with it much more.

I used my 7600gt on a 200w PSU, with only 10amps on the 12v. It worked fine under load too, I'd play Oblivion and The Witcher on high, just fine. It didn't need a 6pin PSU connector, but it proves that certain cards will run on far less then the "required" power specs. I also don't think running in a less than optimum power situation will fry the card, but it could be prone to overheat faster, or create random restarts.

Thats amazing! I was so afraid my 7600GT would fry under a 300W, that I bought a 430W... lol

They will work, but they usually downclock them selves. If you have a PSU with a 6-pin PCI-E connector, I would definitely connect it.
