Am I wasting My Time

Hi I'm new to these forums and have a question about video cards I have a compaq presario sr1620nx its about 3 years old and works fine just getting a lot slower. i would like to get a new one but money is short. so i desided to up grade this one it has a 160gb hard drive and 512mb of ram i ordered 2gb for a total of 2500mb ram it will take up to 4gb. the stock video card is a ati radeon xpress 200 a freind has given me a new in the box ati x600se 128mb video card i know this is an out dated model and wondered if it is worth my while installing it/ and how much difference it will make thanks in advance Steve

it will make a huge difference compared to the onboard POS you're running right now. But it will still perform very poorly in newer games and all that.

Yeah, you will definitly notice an increase speed in games, and maybe a little bit for day-to-day activities on the computer. The ram is what you will notice the most.
