What is the cheapest vcard to run the sims 2 perfect?

i need to upgrade my vcard to play sims 2 + all expansions with graphics high so i'll be wanting a geforce card AGP and 256 ram is ok. so my specs are below and if anybody knows then let me know what i should buy. my budget is i dont want to but i can if i must go over 100 dollars but less than 150. maybe a 6800 is all i need i dont no. help plz

Depends on the price, how much was it?

I won't go for the 7600GS. It has DDR2 technology. You should really try to go for a DDR3 technology. I have a 6800GT, try to find one of those (or perhaps an ultra?) and you'll be happy as hell. Mine 6800GT can play COD4 easily on 4xaa and high quality. I have just trouble with NFS Pro street... And they are very good overclockers!

Which card do you have on the moment anyway?

My cheapo 7600GS plays sims 2 fine on high settings.

why not go for an 8600GTS? more future proof than buying a mid-range DX9 card
