Ram Pc...

What does these PC2700, PC 3200, PC2100... Because i'm ordering new RAM, but i'm wondering does it matter wich PC it is as long as it is DDR SDRAM, and it support my FSB speed, and the right 184 pin it shuoldnt matter right??

PC 2100 = 266 Million Data transfers per second, 133 MHz Mem. Clock

PC-2700 = 333 Million Data transfers per second, 166 MHz Mem. Clock

PC 3200 = 400 Million Data transfers per second, 200 MHz Mem. Clock



it really wont matter which one you get, as long as its DDR SDRAM, is your pc older? you sure you are not looking for DDR 2?

Yesh, PCxxxx refers to theoretical bandwidth. Speed (ddrX) and bandwidth (PcX) are corespondent, DDR400 is always PC3200, for example.



He specifically mentions 184pin RAM, so I'm sure he is referring to DDR1.

so as long as my Ram is 184pin DDR-SDRAM... it doesn't matter right?? because this is my motherboard, is DDR-DIMM the same thing as SDRAM>?

It only supports up to DDR333/PC2700 if you get DDR400/PC3200 it will just back clock the DDR333/PC2700. 2gbs max.

how abotu that DDR-DIMM??? it's DDR-SDRAM right?

DIMM = Dual-inline memory module, It's just a fancy name for double sided, 64bit RAM. It's just a designation, like RAM itself.. Yes it's SDRAM
