7800 GT question

Okay, well I know the diffrences and such of the 7800 GTX and the GT. I am pretty settled on the GT because it saves $200 and a new graphics card will be out and I will have to upgrade anyway. So anyways, I know that the GTX will be better at 1600x1200 but will I be able to run the same settings I would be with the GTX at 1280x1024 on fear? So basically, can I max out everything but soft shadows on fear?

Well I'm running the demo everything maxed except soft shadows (which look like sh*t any way), at 1024 X 768 at average 40 FPS. So I'm sure you could.
