Moniter Making a High Pitched Noise

Dell 21" CRT



Bout a 4 year old moniter. And sometimes after i have had the moniter on for 7+ hours i hear a high pitched noise comin from the back. Not loud enough to really hear from another room or nothing. But able to hear it. If i jolt my moniter it goes away and somtimes stays away for a few hours. If i turn off the moniter it goes away... Anyone know whats happenin??

I get that same problem, except its with a emachine monitor. When it happens i just change the screen resolution. Lately i got tired of it so i just kept it at a slightly larger screen res. See if that stops the noise.

The way i stop it is by turning the monitor off then on again



Sometimes monitors squeak because of the refresh rate the monitor is set to

Its at 1024x768... If i got an smaller OMG MY EYES!
