TV Tuner Question

Hey,

I just recently bought a Winfast 2000XP Pro tv tuner card and it's working fine and all, but I can't seem to get the premium channels like I can with my downstairs TV since that's where the cable box is. Are there any software out there right now that will let me descramble the cable(Insight Broadband) to be able to watch those channels?

You need to run the coax cable from the cable box to descramble it... You cant just run it form the wall... I dont believe there is any software to do this.

I read on another forum about a guy who had the software for Linux that got him the premium channels, but they were in black and white. this was a long time ago and he says it doesn't work anymore. I was just wondering if there had been any updates or whatnot. So no one else knows?

i dont think its possible, because then people could watch those channels without paying for them.

If your question has anything to do with finding a way to get someone for free that others must pay for, chances are you are not only breaking CF's rules but also breaking the law.

AS long as your cable box is LEGAL, that is the only legal way to get the channels. I believe you can contact your cable company about purchasing another box and paying a little extra per month.
