LCD 17" Monitor Suggestion

I decided to buy a 17" LCD monitor now but unsure of which brand/model to choose. Ive seen TFT matrix, what does that mean.



which monitor specifications are important and at what rate is acceptable.



also saw screen protector for lcd that suppose Reduce Glare,Prevent radiation,Enhance Sharpness. do they really work, or junks?

Believe it or not, but Dell actually makes very good LCD's.
