geforce 5200 upgrade?


hey, i have a geforce 5200 and is ****in sux to b frank lol

i was thinkin of upgrading to a 7800 but i found out that it will not work cuz my mobo cannot support it,

wat is the highest geforce or radeon vid card that i run in a pci interface slot cuz dats all i got lol

Nvidia 5700 if you can find, but their not 128-bit. 5500 would be a good choice, but still sucks a lot.

might be worth it to upgrade your mobo to an AGP8X compatible one if you are serious about gaming. Finding a good gaming PCI card is almost impossible these days.

No, you need a motherboard that has an AGP slot in it for it to work with an AGP card.

right now i have bus type for my gforce 5200 as agp 8x so the agp 8x geforce 6800 will work also?

yup should work jsut fine. make sure your power supply is big enough for the 6800 though and the rest of your system. video card specs should tell you minimum size for a power supply.
