i'm not exactly sure what your problem is? do you not have enough room on the one partition for you to install your game? or is windows installed on the wrong partition?

windows is installed on partiton d: the only reason i had to install it on d: is because it wouldnt install on C: so i made two partitions and bypassed the first gig

my game will on install on C: and when i try to load it says cant run multi-sessions

sounds like you should start over and create one big partition and install windows and the game, that should fix you up

Do you have an external hard drive on you that you could back up your files and data to? DVD's or CD's will also do, but I usually prefer for people to use larger media. Alternatively, go to XDrive and back up your data to the internet (2MB or higher broadband recommended).

If you have backed up the data (or not if you choose), you need to navigate into My Computer from the Start Menu, and select C:\. I am assuming that you only have 1 hard-disk in your computer. Right click on C, and select Format from the menu. Your computer will display a dialog box like the one shown.

When you start it, Windows may tell you that it cannot format the drive that is running Windows. This is actually c**p, but there you go. If it doesn't say this, just wait for it to finish, reboot the PC, and reinstall Windows. If it does say that it cannot Format the disk, insert the Windows CD.

Assuming you have XP Home, Professional or whatever, select to reinstall Windows. When it asks you, select to delete all partitions and format the disk drive. Windows will complete this, and then start installing. If this doesn't work, then I think that you need a new hard drive. You can obtain an 80GB one for ?5 ($69.45).

Try this lot out, but please please backup the data first. I have done this many times before, commercially and personally. If for some reason it doesn't work on your PC, the problem is a broken hard drive (jumpy reading, scratched surface, etc), you will need a new one, or the one I have just offered you. Alternatively, it may be your Windows CD has become corrupted. If so, contact the store or supplier you bought it from, and ask for a replacement.

Before going and making a fool of yourself, download ADAWARE and SPYBOT by LavaSoft (found on Google), and check you have no viruses or spyware on your pc. Run Norton Anti-Virus if you have it. If you have a problem with a file called Trojan.Perfcoo (D:\WINDOWS\system32\perfc000.dat), it is a new trojan horse. I had this problem, thinking I had a corrupted windows directory. Visit the Symantec website for instructions on removal.

Hope this helps and wasn't too long winded! If you do need that hard disk, please contact me at admin.azwebs@googlemail.com. Thanks.
