S-Video Connection Problem

Hi, my laptop screen broke so now i hooked it up to my Samsung syncmaster 150MP computer monitor which is connected to my PC, Xbox, Cable TV, and lastly the laptop throught a S-Video connection. The problem is that the image is Very blurry and hard to read, is there a way to make it clear and readable?

Change the resolution from the laptop so that it becomes more clear to read/see in the 2nd video connection.
