Can Updated Video Drivers cause inverted video in media players?

I'm having a little trouble trying to watch video, it happened recently. I dont know if its due to downloading the internation update for ge force drivers, or something else is wrong with settings. Any suggestions?

Note:: this is a new topic, so please dont treat it as a multiple.

Just to make sure it is/isn't the drivers, you might want to download the latest drivers from the official Nvidia website.

i just uinstalled and installed the display drivers once again...its not them. I think the problems might of happened after I viewed an incomplete video file from a p2p program I was using.

But I will say this, when a video plays in Stepmania (since some stages show video), there is no such problem...so I think its secluded to actual media players.

Sounds like a codec problem (??? maybe?). Try downloading new codecs or downloading the latest version of Realplayer/WMP/Divx, or whatever you use (they come with codecs).

If you downloaded the international drivers, it could cause your card to output as PAL instead of NTSC or vice versa

I had this problem recently and all you need to do is adjust the 'Video Overlay Settings' in the driver settings

Hope that helps
