Microtek 815C Monitor Not Working

I've got an 18" LCD monitor that will power on but not display anything. It is a Microtek 815C 18" LCD.



I've contacted the company and they will be contacting within two days. I believe, that since the monitor is not cracked that it has a 36mo. warranty (whew)!.



But I'm wondering if any pros out there know what common problems are with these.

Does it use DVI or VGA? Have you tried using the opposite port(or any other inputs) assuming it has some. It should automatically detect the input, but I've never used that brand. 18" is an odd size, too...
