Monitor Res Question

What Monitor res do you guys use on a 19" crt monitor. I have been using 1024 by 768 but I'm just having an experiment today with 1152 by 864. I'm just a little interested in what you use.....

I use 1280x1024, everything will seem tiny at first but once you get used to it it looks good

Hardly showing off, the monitors were stupid cheap, running $10 apiece

Im not a "fashion before sense" kinda guy

A few things I like about CRTs

- Generally cheaper (not including my stupid cheap monitors mind you, i mean normal ones hehe)

- Dont have to worry about ghosting ... since im weaning myself out of the videogaming age this isnt so much of an issue anymore

- Dont have to use DVI (im only 21 but im still an oldschooler)

- I dont like dealing with dotpitch so high i can see the pixels from a foot-and-a-half away (i.e., 0.29-0.30+mm)

- Relatively, color is poorer on an LCD. A combination of this and the door d.p. and that i do serious photo and video stuff means LCD is not a feasible route for me

- Also with the photo/video (and text) stuff I do, i enjoy the stupid amount of brightness and contrast i can get from a CRT (couple this with the stupidly cheap price, its hard to say no)
