i just bought a CMV 17" LCD 8 MS with a 3 year warranty but without
the zero dead pixel warranty is this very important. The salesman said that the
normal 3 year warranty did not cover dead pixels, anyway what are the
chance's of pixels dying?
thanx
It's hard to say. I have 2 LCD's and a laptop...none of which have dead pixels... Neither my brother's laptop and dad's laptop, both older than my equipment, have dead pixles that I know of. I think you'll be ok...
Then again, my digital camera came with a dead pixel...

If i recall correctly, Samsung's 2005 policy is 0-dead-pixels .... find one and they replace it

In my experience, the more the monitor costs, the less likely for dead pixels. My stepdad got a kinda crappy LCD, and his came with like 4 dead pixels. I bought mine, and I still only have one after months of use. Some people never get any O_o, it all depends.

If you got a max 1024x786 pixels monitor, the probability of having 1 dead pixel is 0.000124244 % which is a very small percentage, so don't worry
