Hello, thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Here's our problem:
First, I'm in MO, the computer is in PA (brother), so I cannot provide any install display feddback (sorry).
This is what I have learned from him:
After installing the card, the screen is blank upon reboot.
The BIOS settings are: AUTO and ENABLE for the onboard video. We've tried both.
Per the instructions on nVidia's site, we've disable the motherboard driver via the devide manager. Same blank screen.
We've attempted to run the setup disk (hoping it would install the new drivers), then install the card. Same blank screen.
As you can see, everything us 2 numb-nuts have tried hasn't worked.
Here's his internals:
Dell 2400
2.4 Celeron
768 RAM
The only other card in the PC is the modem, installed by Dell.
Has anyone experienced this type of problem with this computer/card config and possibly provide step-by-step instructions to install this card?
He called Best Buy and was told the card was dead. He called the guy he bought the card from at Staples, and this turd told him the motherboard is too small (?). Sounds like no one wanted to take the time to even troubleshoot the problem, eh?
If anyone can help, you input will save alot of hair!
Thanks,
Klemango
