I've got a permanent blue line down the centre of my screen and have no idea what's gone wrong to cause it! It overlies everything on the screen, doesn't disappear when I readjust it or anything! I'm not great with comps, so if anyone has a clue as to why this might be happening I'd be thrilled!
It's a TFT monitor if that's any use...
Thanks
Matt
Does it vary at all? Have you tried the monitor on a different computer or a different monitor on that computer? I had a graphics card a little while back that had a fan go out and it overheated (at least thats what I'm assuming happened) and it had a permanent horizontal line across the screen.

I had this same problem on my dads computer. We didn't know what to do, so we ended up taking it somewhere, and it turns out some little piece inside the monitor came loose and broke off. They were able to easily replace it, and I don't remember it costing too much money.
I'm not sure if anyone knows how to operate on a monitor here...i sure didn't and I was too afraid to touch any of it.

Was that an LCD monitor, though, because the one in question is.
