Is this a Scam?

I purchased a Radeon 9700 PRO from a user on ebay. NEW IN BOX....

I asked what brand it was in the email, and he said:

The company I purchase from, manufacturers these video

cards for ATI. They arent a developer company like

Saphire, or Abit, or the several others. It comes in

a "neutral" retail box; its like a one size fits all

type of thing. Theres a pic below. They also produce

their own manuals and driver cd's, so they look a

little different, but they are the same thing. Thanks

for your interest!

This isnt some cheap, foggy half @ss'd card is it?

I buy and sell a lot of stuff on Ebay, and I wouldn't trust it, but you never know it could be legit.

Does the "generic" brand make sense? Is there a such thing? My friend also purchased one at the same time I did.

generic ATI boards doesn't make a lot of sense, RAM is one thing but video is another. It seems to me that it would be like saying a bought a Generic Pentium 4 instead of an Intel P4
