Upgrade to X600 Pro?

I just got a new Dell about a month ago, and the card it came with is a radeon X300 SE. I'm by no means a hard core gamer, but I do enjoy playing some shooters on the computer, like Far Cry for example.



While the X300 can handle demanding games, as I have 1 GB RAM backing it up, it certainly isn't cutting edge, so I've been thinking about picking up an X600 Pro to get a performance boost. So, I guess I was just wondering if anybody has any experience with an X600 and could tell me what kind of performance increase to expect.

Unless the x600 is considerably cheaper than a PCIe Geforce 6600, you should get the 6600. Even the non GT version is better than the x600

Or even consider the X700Pro or 9800Pro (of course considering the 9800Pro would put you in the ballpark of the 6600s)

uh...the 9800 doesn't come in PCIe
