Capture TV

I want to capture tv on my computer. For example I want to be able to record tv shows on my computer. What type of hardware and software would I need. TV tuner card right? I don't believe I can do it with my 6800gt can I? Thanks.

I went with the HAUPPAUGE|WINTV401(card) and NeoTV(software), to capture Nascar races. That card is excellent, and probably the best for the price. I can capture and burn to DVD's and there is no quality loss at all. NeoTV has a 1 month free trial...try it, I was very impressed.

I have two ATi eHome Wonder Tv Tuner cards. They work great. With Windows XP MCE 2005 I can easily record two shows at once, or record one show and watch live tv... and a ton of other things. While I dont think you need to purchase XP Media Center Editon or two tv tuners, take a look at the ATI tv tuners. They are not that expensive and so far I have had zero problems with mine.
