boot up problem with graphics card

i have onboard graphics but i recently bought a hercules prophet pci graphics card i can use it but my system will not show the boot up screen through this card. it only shows boot up screen through onboard graphics.

i have been into bios to change from onboard to pci vga but if i do that then it wont boot up at all.the only way i seem to be able to use this card is to leave bios set to onboard graphics and the card does not pick up power until windows is at the logon screen .

can anyone help. thanks in advance

try disabiling the onboard graphic card. Make sure you installed the drivers before you installed the card.

In your BIOS change the primary video adaptor from AGP to PCI
