Radeon 9600 vs Geforce FX5700

Which is the better video card for a AMD 64 3000. A Radeon 9600 or Geforce FX5700?

they are both good cards but me myself would go for the Radeon 9600

I am using the Radeon9600.

it is a =n excellent card that you can control.

Lab testing see tomshardware(websit) they both the same but the 9600 you can control the settings so it will work harder.

I am playing some game and I configure the computer to have a profie for each game, and I pushed the card the results are very good.

Also with the 9600 if you spend some more money you can get some good games

More likely the GeForce FX5700

Radeon 9600 Memory Bandwidth:6.40 GB/s

Core Speed:325 MHz

GeForce FX5700 Bandwidth:8.8Gb/s

Core Speed:425 Mhz

Although a Radeon 9600 XT is Slightly better then the GeForce

Core Speed:500 MHz

Bandwidth:9.60 GB/s

But now it's up to you, thats the only help I can offer.

It seems however that realworld price vs perf, the 5700 would eb a better rooute to go than the 96xt

I see this alot :-).. Your processer has nothing to do with picking a video card unless your picking a new gen video card as they can be cpu limited but they'd still work even in any setup that has a motherboard that will support them..

Yes there isn't much difference and the 5700 is cheaper
