Is there a big performance gap between GF Fx5200 and GF Fx5500? And between Radeon 9200SE and 9550SE? Which is better, GF Fx5500 or Radeon 9550SE? And what means SE?

And is that good to buy all from the same mark? For example if I have MSI nForce motherboard, should I buy MSI GFX VGA?

Praeter is the God on this sort of thing, so He'll have to correct me here, but here goes......



I find the R9200 and G5200 are pretty equal. The R9200 on paper has a bit more power, but in practice, I find the nVidia drivers equal that out quite a lot. Also, certain games work better with an ATI card, while other games (most obviously Doom3) work better with a nVidia card.



The SE means "Special Edition", except its not! Its a cut down version of the card, so less powerful.



As to the specificities of the cards you listed, those details are best answered by someone else.....

Wont make an earth shattering difference.

Between the 9200/5200 it doesnt make a world of difference ... they are both office cards rather than gamer cards
