geforce 6800gt or ati radeon x800

hello just wondering building a pc at the mo actually third pc ive built got ic7 max 3 abit motherboard intel pentium 3.6 1 mb cache one maxtor 7200rpm 200gb hard drive and one 10000rpm 40 gb hard drive sound balster audigy platinum pro and 2x512 crutal dual cahnnel dual date rate (ddr) well i was wondering if u think i should get geforce 6800gt 256mb or ati radeon x800 or 900 pro 256mb

Well....GeForce 6800GT 256mb or X900 Pro 256mb......There both a very good GFX card I'd just go with X900 Pro 256MB because I trust ATI more then NVIDIA

but that's my opinion

yes ati is good but nvida is my personal hero in the g card industry i think the best on the market at the mo is a bfg geforce 6800 ultra 256mb they are packaged and sold with the 25MHz overclock (default is 400MHz for the 6800U), hence the name 6800U OC.

You mean X800Pro. A couple things about this comparison

1. The 6800GT is the midrange card. The X800Pro is the bottom end card

2. The 6800GT has 16/6 pipes, the X800Pro has 12/6 pipes

3. The 6800GT is cheaper.
