I have a nvidia MSI geforce fx 5200 128 MB, and i found a web page talking about overclocking the Graphics card, and it said that using the detonator i can overclock the core and memory frequency. It said its better not to exceed 10% of the original values. So does it help?

Funny thing is my old video card that I overclocked ran much better in older games and much worse in some cases in newer! strange. It was not overheating so I'm not sure Y that was but I read an article where Carmack or one of the other ID team members suggested that Doom3 may actualy run worse with an overclocked video card so I put my vid card back to normal settings and not only did it improve in that game but several others well.
I dont bother overclocking video anymore.
