glide3.dll and 3dfx problems

I am a relative computer novice and have had to format my hard drive due to a virus.



I have reloaded windows xp professional, however my kids cannot run games they have loaded. When I try to open a game a alert boxes come up telling me the glide3.DLL and the "Vid_3DfxDDL" can not be found.



Each time I boot up windows detects new hardware - video controller (VGA compatible) but neither windows or the CD driver disc are able to load up the relevant files. I have no idea what sound card is installed. What can I do next?
